The assessment Objectives
Your work is marked in four main areas.
How you DEVELOP your ideas
For this we are looking at how you have taken the initial starting point and developed it towards a final outcome. Part of this will be the artists you have used to inspire you and the annotations which explain your thinking along the way. The initial 'A' board will show the starting points and the rest of the boards should show how you have then explored and developed this towards the final outcome. One place people usually lose marks is showing clear development for the final piece....you can do this easily with design drawings of what it will look like, exploring alternative compositions and showing colour choices.
How you RECORD your thinking through visuals and written analysis
Within this assessment objective we are looking for STRONG drawing, photography and written annotations. All areas add marks so do not put weak photographs on as this will bring your overall mark down.

How you REFINE your ideas through EXPERIMENTATION
For AO2 we are looking at how you have explored different medias within your project and the changes you have made to improve the piece. This might be composition, colour or scale. People aiming for the top grades should be working in a range of scales (large pieces off board and smaller studies). We will also be looking at how you have USED the artists influence within your work so make sure that you are thinking about this.
How you PRESENT your boards and your OUTCOME
AO4 present is not just the final outcome, it is also the presentation of all of your boards so you should take time to ensure that they are mounted neatly and all work is trimmed and placed carefully. We can have 1-2-1 tutorials with you to support you with this and advise on any changes to gain additional marks.
